Dataset
A dataset is a broad view of a source of data, based on how you configured it. Click the Create button in the Einstein Analytics salesforce training app, and click the Dataset.
Dataset Setup
- Analytics provided the functionality to pull data from various sources. I use CSV account records file with standard fields Name, Ranking, Telephone, Money, Industry and Form to upload the file.
- Provide the Dataset Name and select the App where you want the data set to be stored, and select the CSV file to upload and click Create Dataset.
- Analytics now confirms that the dataset has been uploaded with success.
- To verify whether the job has been done successfully, follow the steps below,
- Click the header page on the gear icon onGear. PNG, and then click the Data Manager to open the data monitor. It shows the dataflow status and the upload jobs for the data.
- Click Refresh. PNG for the refresh jobs icon to view the latest jobs status.
- The Dataflow has now been successfully saved, if any errors occur, open the job file and make the necessary changes and upload the file.
- Click on the Download button to download the JSON file in the Action List.
- Open the dataflow in the text editor in a JSON, and make the necessary changes.
- Use a JSON validation tool and there are many tools available on the internet to verify the validity of the JSON.
- Save and Close the file.
- Click the Upload file and pick the JSON file to add the saved file to the action list, and then run the jobs. Dataset jobs Download. PNG
- Click the Refresh. This is to display the new Dataflow work status.
- After the dataflow job completes successfully, you can view the dataset.
- You can pull the data from Salesforce artifacts and Informatica not just the CSV files.
Lens
A lens is a common view into data from a dataset. It's where you do exploratory visualization and analysis. Now you can use the created dataset to create lens.
Lens setup
- Click on the recently generated dataset to guide you to Lens. Lens-basic.
- There are three important things to remember in the left panel: Lens-Filter.
- Metric: A measure, like sales and the exchange rate, is a measurable attribute. You can mathematicize measures like count, total, maximum income, minimum income, etc.
- Group By: You can group by according to requirements for different elements.
- Filter By: The area can be filtered based on the different conditions in Salesforce, the same as the report filter.
There are various modules on the right side of the plane including undo, redo, you can display the background, Film, Share the lens, save, Map mode, Table mode, SAQL mode.
The various types of charts in the lens are as follows.
- By default, you will be given the bar chart to adjust the form of the chart by clicking on the chart mode to change the chart type

- In the chart above, I did the measure with Sum of Amount, group by using the Rating fields Industry and filter.
- Do the chart changes required, and press the save button.
- Click on the scissor icon Sessior to use this lens in the Dashboard, give any name and click the Clip to Designer button, this clip can be used to designer in the Dashboard.
- Clip your lens was successfully saved.
- Similarly, the various lens is clipped and used in the dashboard.

Dashboard
A query dashboard is an interactive array of widgets that displays various perspectives from one or more lenses to tell a story from different angles.
- Click on the Build button and click on the Toolbar to navigate to the Home page.
- There are various options in the Dashboard, with high-end and user-friendly UI.
- Now click Creating Move.
- You can choose your newly created dataset, or use the clipped lens in the dashboard
- To Dashboard plane, drag and drop the lens. Right-hand dashboard screen
- I have clipped some lenses in the aforementioned plane and am using them in the dashboard.
- You can add different charts to the left side of the panel besides that we can add links, images , text and more.
Here's the final Dashboard in all that's glory, after adding numerous maps, photos, and text to the dashboard. This is the beauty of Wave, dynamic and sensitive in nature are the charts and dashboards used in Salesforce Einstein Analytics. Something you are not going to get in Reports and Dashboard.
