China Scrap import sample in 2021

According to yieh.com China’s imports of ferrous scrap amounted to approximately 9,800 tons in the first two months this year.

The data during the period showed three bulk vessel deliveries, including two bulk vessels from Japan and one from South Korea, with a separate delivery of about 2,000-3,000 tons.

Among them, around 6,200 tons were from Japan and 2,700 tons were from South Korea, and a few scrap imports from Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Macau.

China resumed its scrap import with new standards from January 1.
