At dispatch the Apple Watch 2 (or Apple Watch Series 2 in case we're being meticulous) brought up two or three issues: was it a large enough move up to beat the primary Watch, and had Apple done what's necessary to make a smartwatch a need, instead of only a novel extravagance?
