UEFA Europa League Round up

The quarter finals of the Europa League concluded with Manchester united, Sevilla, Inter Milan and Shakhtar Donetsk qualifying for the semifinals.

Manchester United beat FC Copenhagen 1-0 in extra time. Anthony Martial won a penalty for the red devils which was converted by Bruno Fernandes. They are to face Sevilla in the first semifinal.

Sevilla scored late to win against Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers. Raul Jiménez had missed a penalty for Wolves earlier in the game, which came back to haunt him when Luas Ocampos scored a 87th minute winner for the Spanish side. Sevilla won 1-0.

Inter Milan beat German opposition Bayer Leverkusen 2-1. All the goals came in the first half of the match. Romulo Lukaku and Nicolo Barella scored for Inter while Chelsea bound Kai Havertz got on the scoresheet for Leverkusen. Inter will have to win against Shakhtar Donetsk to book a place in the final of the competition.

Shakhtar comfortably beat their opponents FC Basel by four goals to one. They have a very talented group of Brazilians in their team, which could prove difficult for Antonio Conte’s Inter.
