Drugs worth Rs 21 lakh seized in Pune
Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Pune on Friday evening seized drugs worth over Rs 21 lakh during the raid in cannabis farm.
A total of 173 plants were found in the farm which weighed around 140 kg, as per LCB officials. Two bags full of dried cannabis meant for sale were also sized. As per the officials the total cost of the seized drugs is around Rs 21 lakh in the market.
The crime department officers had acquired data on approximately this kind of farm. The statistics was passed directly to a group led through deputy superintendent of police Aishwarya Sharma of Daund division.
A case under applicable sections of the narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances act, 1985 was registered at Daund police station.
One man arrested in this case was identified as Dattu Shankar Shinde. He is suspected to be the owner of the farm.
