Date for JEE Main results 2020 released

The National Test Agency is expected to release the results of JEE Mains by September 11 and those who were top 2.5 lakh ranks in JEE Mains can apply for JEE Advanced. IIT Delhi already announced that the applications for JEE Advance will begin from September 12. Thus, JEE Mains result is expected before the Advance registrations.

The exams which have been delayed by months are for the entry in undergraduate courses in engineering, architecture and planning.

The results for JEE Main will consist of both the attempts — January as well as April / September session. For students who had appeared for both sessions, the result will be based on the best of the attempt. Along with the percentile score, the NTA will also release a rank list. While the exam is held twice a year, the rank list is released only once — combining both sessions.

On the basis of JEE Main results, students can take admissions in state-level engineering colleges, universities including NITs.

This year, the JEE Mains was held in a new pattern. The numerical type questions were introduced for the first time this year. These questions did not have any negative marking. The number of MCQs were also reduced in addition to these questions.
