FA Cup Review
The quarter finals of the FA Cup have ended with Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal qualifying for the semi-finals.
United played Norwich at Carrow Road and won 2-1. United striker Odion Ighalo had opened the scoring before Todd Cantwell equalized for the home side. The match went onto extra time, in which Harry Maguire scored for the reds with 2 minutes remaining.
Arsenal beat Sheffield united 2-1. Nicolas Pepe opened the scoring for the gunners. David McGoldrick equalized for Sheffield before Arsenal substitute Dani Ceballos secured the win for the gunners.
Chelsea were facing Leicester City in their quarter final. The match was nip and tuck throughout. After a goalless first half, the substitute Ross Barkley came off the bench to score for the blues. That was to be the winning goal for Chelsea as they won 1-0.
Manchester City eased past Newcastle United with a 2-0 win. Kevin de Bruyne’s first half penalty and Raheem Sterling’s second half strike were enough to give them the victory.
