PM Modi performs groundbreaking ceremony at Ayodhya
Today was the date set for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Ram Temple which is going to be built in Shree Ram’s birthplace Ayodhya. The ceremony was completed by PM Modi himself.
The Babri masjid case which was won by the center in 2019 and the land allotted to them is going to be used to build a temple spread over 20 acres of land. Over two lakh bricks inscribed with ‘Sri Ram’ in different languages collected from across the country over 30 years will form the foundation of the temple.
The temple is said to be completed in three to four years and will be the largest Hindu temple of the world and second-largest temple overall behind Angkor Wat in Cambodia. The cost of constructing the temple is estimated to be around 300 crores.
The wait finally ended today for many Hindus who believe that after a wait of 500 years the land which is said to lord Ram’s birthplace will get its true identity.
PM Modi was accompanied by Madhya Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath. Home minister Amit Shah was tested corona positive a few days ago, so he couldn’t join the PM, instead, he took to Twitter and wrote,” Today is a historic and proud day for India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the Bhoomi pujan and laid the foundation stone of the grand Ram temple, which marks a golden chapter of Indian culture and civilization and has started a new era.”
Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi also wrote on his twitter handle,” Maryada Purushottam Lord Rama is the manifestation of the best human qualities. He represents the humanity that lies in the depths of our mind. Ram is love. He is never manifested in hatred. Ram is compassion. He is never manifested in cruelty. Ram is justice. He is never manifested through injustice.”
