Premier league returns

Most awaited league in football, the English Premier league is set to return from today. Liverpool are the defending champions and Leeds, West Brom and Fulham are the three new teams promoted from the second division.

The league will begin with newly promoted side Fulham taking on Arsenal. The Gunners have gone under a transition under the new manager Mikel Arteta who was appointed last November. Arsenal have signed Willian, Gabriel and Ceballos for the new season. While Fulham have maintained the core of their team with new arrivals like Areola from PSG on loan, Knockaert from Brighton and Lemina from Southampton.

The second match will be between Crystal Palace and Southampton. The Eagles have a strong squad with the arrival of Eberechi Eze from QPR and Michy Batshuayi on loan from Chelsea. Southampton on the other hand have signed Kyle Walker Peters from Spurs. Both the teams showed good performance last season and would likely end up mid table.

A late-night kick-off will be between Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds, who were champions of EFL and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, champions of Premier League. Both the managers are complete geniuses in their methods and are believed to be best coaches in the football world. Liverpool were silent in the transfer market and have only signed new left back Konstantinos Tsimikas, although they are heavily linked with the Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago. Leeds on the other hand were busy in the transfer market with new arrivals of Rodrigo, Helder Costa, Robin Koch, Joe Gelhardt and Illan Meslier. This is the most exciting fixture of today.

Kick Off time (IST)

Crystal Palace vs. Southampton (19:30)
