Barcelona and Juventus to face each other in Champions League
Ronaldo and Messi rivalry is not new in the football world and once again we can see their rivalry on the field for the final time when Barcelona hosts Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday. We used to see them in El Classico but after Ronaldo’s departure from Real Madrid, the dual rivalry lost the glamour.
The hopes of fans were frustrated last time in the group phase match, with Rolando missing the match due to Covid-19, but Barcelona won the match by 2-0.
Ronaldo and Messi are in the latter phases of their careers, at 35 and 33 respectively, but both retain their elite status.
Both sides already qualified for the last 16 from the group but if Juventus win at Camp Nou by three goals or more then they can top the group.
Ronaldo is thriving in Juventus but on the other hand Messi is struggling in Spain this season.
While Ronaldo was in Spain he and Messi drove each other to greater and greater heights, in what was football’s greatest rivalry between individuals. On Tuesday, they cross swords once again, perhaps as a last encore.
