Centre issues guidelines for unlock 4.0
The central government has issued guidelines for unlock 4.0 as it prepares to allow citizens to enjoy freedom step by step. Following are some key points of the unlock 4.0
- Metro’s will be functional from September 7 in a graded manner.
- Public gatherings for cultural/sports/entertainment etc. will be allowed with a cap of maximum 100 persons to be allowed at a time from 21st September. However, such gatherings would be allowed only if everyone follows social distancing and wears masks.
- Open air theatres will be allowed to open from 21st September.
- Schools, colleges and educational institutions will be shut till 30th September. However, 50 percent of the teaching and non-teaching staff will be allowed to enter the campuses to take online classes.
- Students from class 9th to 12th can visit their schools on a voluntary basis to clear their doubts.
India’s corona numbers are on an all time high with the general fear beginning to fade away in people’s minds. Currently 3.54 mil cases have been reported with 2.71 mil recovering and 63498 confirmed deaths across the nation. More than 79000 cases were reported in the last 24 hours with Maharashtra registering the highest number of cases with 16000 followed by Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka with 10,548 and 8, 324 respectively.
