The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET results have been declared. Soyeb Aftab of Odisha made history by scoring a perfect 720 out of 720. Akanksha Singh of Uttar Pradesh also scored a perfect 720 but will get all India rank 2 as she is older than Soyeb. This is the first time in the history of the examination that any student has scored a perfect score of 720, and for two students to get a perfect score means that they utilized the lockdown time to their benefits.

Soyeb who is a student of the renowned Allen Institute said in an interview, “There is no doctor in my family, so I didn’t expect this. I had hoped to make it to top 100 or top 50 but I never expected to score 720/720. The exam was being postponed, so there was a lot of pressure. But the goal was to stay calm & utilize time.”
