Messi is going nowhere

Barcelona’s all-time leading goal scorer and six-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi has stated that he will remain at Barcelona for another year after which he will be a free agent.

The Argentine announced his decision in an interview. He stated that he didn’t want to drag Barcelona to court and face a trial against them. According to his contract Messi has a £700 mil release clause which was unpayable by any team and the only way out for him was to face a trail in court.

Messi now 33, will not leave Camp Nou for another season and will consider his options after his contract runs out. The news came as a big relief for Barcelona fans around the globe.

Kai Havertz joins Chelsea

German International Kai Havertz has completed his transfer to Chelsea and is excited to work under his new boss frank Lampard. The move is said to be around 70 mil with some add-ons. He became Lampard’s sixth signing after Ben Chillwell, Thiago Silva, Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Malang Sarr. The Blues are considered to be a major contender for this season’s premier league.

Everton sign Allan from Napoli

Everton have successfully signed Brazilian midfielder Allan from Napoli for a fee reported to be around 22 mil. Allan who had previously worked under Carlo Ancelotti during the latter’s time at Napoli is happy to reunite with him at Goodison Park. The 29-year-old strengthens Everton’s midfield with players like James Rodriguez and Abdoulaye Doucouré to follow him to Goodison.
