Lovren leaves Liverpool for Zenit

Premier League winner Dejan Lovren has left Liverpool for Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg. The 31-year-old Croatian left the Merseyside after six seasons with them. The transfer is said to be around £10.7 mil.

Lovren had made just fifteen appearances for the club this season. Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, and Joe Gomez were considered as first-team defenders.

Lallana joins Brighton

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has joined Brighton and Hove Albion in a free transfer. The 32-year-old was looking for a club since becoming a free agent and Brighton was the team who could afford his wage demands.

Brighton manager Graham Potter said, “He has a wealth of experience alongside his technical quality. To have both his experience and quality out on the pitch will be a great addition for us, and I know he will be an excellent role model for our younger players in the squad.”

Vertonghen and Vorm leave Tottenham

Belgian veteran defender and Dutch goalkeeper have run out of their contracts at Tottenham Hotspur. The 33-year-old defender left the club after eight years.

Vertonghen wrote on twitter, “So my time at the club comes to an end. A sad day for many reasons.”

The other player was third-choice goalkeeper Michel Vorm. He had just made 48 appearances since joining them in 2014.
