A working group on the protection and use of cultural heritage sites in Andijan visited our region

In the last 10 days of November,a republican working group headed by the director of the Agency for Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports visited our region.

"The Ahmadbekhoji Hotel" in Andijan region

Its the main purpose is to organize that control over the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On protection and use of cultural heritage sites", decrees, resolutions, decrees and resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on November 16, 2021. consists of a critical analysis and study of the effectiveness of its implementation.

During the visit, the working group on November 22-23, 2021 examined the protection and use of tangible cultural heritage in the region, the involvement of modern information technology, the designation of protection zones, the preparation of historical and cultural expertise and a number of other issues.
During the study, they examined the facilities that are planned to be financed from the national budget in 2022, such as "the Yunuskhoji Mosque" in Andijan, "the Church of St. Nicholas", "the Ahmadbekhoji Hotel", and "the Qutayba ibn Muslim in Jalaquduq district. Also they Visited “Yunus ota” shrines in Kurgantepa district. In addition, they got acquainted with the project of the Center for the Study of Archaeological Monuments "Mingtepa".

The working group also organized research on problematic sites in the region: "Yilqi ota", "Imam ota" shrines, "Chayontepa", "Tegirmontepa", "Kilichmozor" archeological monuments.
During their work, the members of the working group took part in mobile trials at the archeological monument "Kilichmozor" in Jalaquduq district, the shrine "Imam ota" in Khojaabad district and gave their practical assistance and necessary instructions.
