Romantic Date Planning Agency — FlashDay
About the Project:
FlashDay is a dating agency based in Lviv, Ukraine.
Before the war, the agency operated in 13 cities across Ukraine, but at the start of our collaboration, it was working solely in Lviv.
The project has been featured on national TV channels such as ICTV, NTA, and Pershyi Zakhidnyi.
Their client portfolio includes well-known media personalities like Vyacheslav Bondar (Shakhtar Donetsk football player) and Daria Savina (journalist and blogger).
Goals & Objectives:
Increase the number of requests for event planning services.
Work Done:
At the beginning of our collaboration, we clarified that the client wanted leads in two directions:
Landing pages: Instagram profile and website.
In my opinion, the Instagram account was better optimized and visually appealing, so I predicted it would generate more leads.
Still, it would have been unwise not to test the website.
So, I installed a Facebook Pixel on the site and launched campaigns driving traffic to it.
In parallel, I launched an ad campaign with the objective “Post Engagement” on Instagram.
For creatives, I prepared both static images and video creatives.
The client had invested a lot of effort into video production, so we had a wealth of high-quality content to work with.
As predicted, the website brought no results.
After spending $21 on the campaign, I decided to shut it down and scale the Direct Message (DM) objective on Instagram instead.
From the very first DM campaign, we started receiving leads at $2.80 each.
The client was happy with the results — but I knew we could do better.
So I started working on improving the creatives, specifically the offers used in them.
Since videos can’t be uploaded here, I’ll describe some of the offers we used:
- “Want to surprise your loved one with an unforgettable date? We're here to help. Professional planning, unique locations, original ideas. Message us in DMs.”
- “Not sure how to surprise your partner on your anniversary? Over 1,750 men have trusted us — and never regretted it.”
- “Want to gift your loved one an unforgettable date? Choose the location on our website.”
- “Need a special gift but have no idea what to do? We know how to amaze your beloved.”
- “We organize breathtaking proposals. Over 1,000 men have heard ‘yes’ with our help. It will go just the way she dreamed. Message us in DMs to choose your proposal scenario.”
Challenges:
Between November and February, we faced issues due to nationwide power outages (blackouts), which also affected us.
The cost per lead increased from the usual $2 to $4–7.
To counter this, we introduced discount systems to encourage more inquiries and lower the CPL.
In addition to campaigns for regular dates and proposals, we also ran special ads for Valentine’s Day (Feb 14) and International Women’s Day (March 8).
