Quality Assurance Engineer
More than 8 years in Artec 3D
Luxembourg office

I am involved in software testing of almost all our products, in particular Leo scanner soft, Artec Studio and Artec Remote. I like to accompany new projects from the very beginning to the final realization, when they already take on a finished look and everything works so well that you can put it in the hands of users.

In general, my colleagues from the testing team can work with different products and be quite versatile. We have to interact with different teams: from developers and RnD to technical support, designers, marketing and of course our brilliant production team. In each of them the professionalism is well combined with nice personal qualities: when a person not only knows his field, but is also very good at explaining things.

I love seeing how our products grow and change over time, becoming better and better. Sometimes it feels like they've always been perfect, but we know all the hard work that went into making them that way!

Working in testing may seem quite monotonous in some ways, but like everyone, we have sudden deadlines when you need to switch quickly from one task to another. Or testing right before release, when you come to all the responsibility for the final product that will go to the user. We also sometimes look at some new scanners not manufactured by us, which is also a good way to dilute the working rhythm, adding intensity to it.

The biggest project I have been involved in, almost from its beginning to its mature form, is our Leo scanner. Its accuracy has increased a lot, now it has onboard recalibration procedure.I was able to participate in testing the embedded Leo software and watched as it turned into a very user-friendly scanner. In a few years, we have developed it into one of the best solutions on the market.

I am energized and inspired by how and where Artec technologies are being applied. My favorite area is healthcare, which I can often learn about from our case studies on our website, on social media, or at general All-Artec meetings. It is very inspiring to learn how our scanners are used to improve people’s quality of life.

Outside of work, I like to stay active. I enjoy playing games and doing yoga with my coworkers, and I also like to go hiking with my family and friends. We often hang out together after work, watching movies or just chatting.

I can recommend watching Poor Things, one of those movies that was among the favorites for the Oscars 2024.

I work in Artec with my husband (Kirill Suetnov) and before we even had desks opposite each other. Now we work in different offices, we see each other only in the evenings at home, but my colleagues often ask me to tell Kirill something related to his work, which is quite funny.

Luxembourg is one of the most, in my opinion, welcoming countries to people from different cultures, with different languages. You can speak any language, no one will be surprised and everyone is open to help you. To recommend something to visit, there are definitely two good museums here. The National Museum of History and Art https://www.nationalmusee.lu/en/, which both kids and adults like, and the Science Center in Differdange https://www.science-center.lu/. Artec human scanning booth is located there and there's a very interesting interactive exhibition explaining different physical principles. You can even play kicker with the robot there.

1/ What's your favorite dish to cook or to eat?

French Gratin

2/ What superpower would you like to have?

Effective time management

3/ If you had an opportunity to switch for another's working department in Artec 3D what would you pick up?

Well, probably Agata Serebrennikova. I would try to communicate with partners, because sometimes when you do something and there is no feedback, it seems that everything is working fine. It would be interesting to actually go out into the open field and to speak with our customers.
