Role at Artec 3D
Right now, I'm working on a project about reconstructing a 3D model of an object using only a set of its photographs. From a technical point of view it's based on neural radiance fields (NeRFs). This technology is well established, but there's still plenty of room for improvement. The main goal is to enhance the quality of the reconstruction with better detail and more accuracy.

That’s exactly what I’m focused on now. I’m diving into the project, trying to understand what the team has already done so far, and figuring out the next steps.

I met everyone on my team a couple of days ago and found out there are people here from top universities like NSU, MSU, MIPT, and Bauman Moscow State Technical University. My colleagues are really impressive, and I can already see there’s a lot I can learn from them.

Previous experience
I studied physics at Novosibirsk State University. At first, I worked on laser ablation, and then our lab built the first metal 3D printer in Russia and I developed the software for it.

For the next five years, I was deeply involved in scientific research, mainly focused on mode-locked lasers, neuromorphic computing, and telecommunications. Most of my academic publications are in these areas.

After university, I joined a company which makes photo and video editing apps for smartphones. They had a fairly large R&D team, and I worked on generative AI: stable diffusion, generative adversarial networks etc.

Hobbies & leisure time
In my free time, I do sports and go on weekend trips with friends to nature spots: cliffs, lakes, rocky landscapes. And in winter I go snowboarding.

I like living in Serbia: people are very welcoming, and speak English quite well. It’s a beautiful and vibrant country.
