Frontend team lead
Luxembourg office

My team's scope of tasks encompasses developing the client-side of the website, managing various controllers, navigation, sending server requests, and more. Additionally, we handle task recomposition, lead meetings, conduct code reviews, and, as the team leader, I am responsible for team management and defining the technology stack in our products. Our team consists of just two members: Maria Manelis and myself. While it can be challenging at times, I've grown accustomed to it and hope for team expansion in the future.

A proficient frontend developer is characterized by a solid knowledge base, with as few gaps as possible. For beginners, it's essential not to hesitate to ask questions. Even though it can be occasionally bothersome, it's better than remaining silent. For those who have progressed beyond the junior level, it's vital to stay engaged, aim for senior roles, and embrace responsibilities, including delegation.

Recently, we implemented a remarkable and complicated feature of which I'm particularly proud. It allows users to view a genuine photo of an object and compare it to a 3D model, highlighting similarities and differences. Furthermore, we've made it possible to open a web-based slideshow with frames gracefully transitioning.

During my free time, I like playing competitive shooters like CS:GO for the adrenaline rush they provide. I'm also passionate about fitness, having invested about five or six years and even participated in local fitness competitions in my hometown.

In my earlier years, I dedicated considerable time to studying at a music school. I achieved recognition through numerous competitions and even received an invitation to study at Gnesinka. However, my journey eventually led me to the field of development, a decision I do not regret.

My experience in Montenegro was largely positive. I found the locals to be welcoming and hospitable, and I never encountered any negative attitudes. My experience in Luxembourg was also pleasant, but the high rental prices were a drawback.

Blitz:

1/ Cats or dogs?

Dogs. They are loyal and true friends.

2// If you would like to pick up any famous person to have a drink in a bar, who would it be?
I would choose to have a cup of tea with Albert Einstein.

3// If not programming, what would you like to do?

Given my musical background, I might have pursued a career as a pianist, or due to my interest in woodworking, I could have become a carpenter or worked in a sawmill.
