Diagnosis: If the back pain takes place for more than two weeks then spine diagnosis is required. There is some test to perform to diagnose spine problems. Such tests are given below:

 

X-ray: X-rays are used to take the images of your bones and can identify the bones which are broken or injured. These help to find the cause of pain, such as infections, tumours, spinal misalignment, fractures etc.

 

CT Scans and MRIs: These scans can generate images that can reveal the problems related to muscles, tissues, nerves, bones, tendons, blood vessels and ligaments etc. MRI generates three-dimensional pictures of the body with the help of powerful magnets and computer technology. 

 

Blood tests: It helps to recognize whether you have an infection or other problem that causing pain in the back.

 

Bone scan: This scan is used very rarely to check for the compression fractures and bone tumors caused by osteoporosis.
