189, 190, 491 Visas – Which Visa is the Best for Australia Immigration in 2021

You all know that the ongoing pandemic continues to batter the Australian economy, that’s the reason why the Australian Government has released its migration planning levels for the skilled immigration visa categories for the coming New Year 2021. Australia has always been a popular destination for all the aspiring professionals who are looking ahead towards executing their dream of Australia Immigration that they have vied for many years.

Now, the next question is “how to fulfill this dream that you have seen for years?” When it comes to migrating to Kangaroo land as a skilled worker, the General Skilled Migration program is the main visa category that you can choose. There are three visa sub-categories under this skilled visa such as skilled independent visa subclass 189, skilled nominated visa subclass 190 and skilled work regional (provisional) visa subclass 491.

Now the problem lies in the fact that which visa is the best for Australia Immigration in 2021? Is it 189, 190 or 491! Still fiddling between the three of them? Well, all the three visa categories of the GSM Visa are the best; it just depends entirely on your set goals. Moreover, occupation also plays a significant role in the entire process of selection. No matter what the visa type you choose, meeting the set criteria of 65 points in the point-tested table is a must. These points are mandatory if you want to submit your Expression of Interest through the online skill select.

Although 65 points is a minimum requirement, however, taking notice of the 2020 invitation rounds, the applicants invited under the 189 skilled independent and 491 visa needed a minimum score of 90 and for the 190 visa, the candidates invited needed a CRS score of 85. The main reason behind a major hike in the scores was the low number of applications and high potential of the candidates who are looking ahead for Australia Immigration. Well, there were certain occupations which required a score more than 90 in order to receive an invitation to apply.

Always note that without an invitation, you will not be allowed to apply under any of the visa sub categories. So, prior to applying for the one, make sure that you meet the eligibility requirements and meet the required cut-off released by the DHA. For all the folks who have comparatively less years of work experience, for them, 190 visas is the best visa category. 190 is a point-tested visa, also called the state sponsorship visa which requires you to get a nomination from an Australian state or territory.

What 190 Visa is all about?

When it comes to submitting your application under the 190 visa, each state or territory has a different requirement that the aspiring candidates need to be aware of prior to applying for 190 visas and submitting the EOI (Expression of Interest). Unalike from the 189 and 491 visas, EOI’s are not likely to get selected only on the basis of your points score. The Australian states consider your nominated occupation, points in the table and some other factors as well.

Final Call

Applying for a perfect visa category is streamlined, it’s just that you first need to decide the visa and then take a tour of their requirements that you need to fulfill. After all, it’s always better to stay tuned as you never know what is going to happen next, as the future is unpredictable.
