Analyst - Investment Banking (M&A / Special situations)

GPB M&A team is an independent structural unit of the bank, which carries out Buy-side transactions, asset management, as well as special situations.

The main focus of M&A transactions are the oil and gas, oilfield services industries, as well as commercial real estate.

Key responsibilities of the role

Providing support to the team on origination and execution of corporate finance transactions. Preparation of presentations, complex financial models, analysis of trends and developments of specific industries.
Preparation of comprehensive valuation analysis using various valuation techniques.
Direct communication with the external and internal entities on various matters related to the execution of transactions.
Preparation of documents for internal approval processes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from a leading Russian or international university.
History of outstanding academic and professional achievement.
1-3 years of investment banking / corporate finance experience / BIG 4 / VC / PE.
Strong quantitative, analytical, communication, financial modelling and valuation skills.
Ability to comfortably interact with internal and external counterparties in a professional and mature manner.
Ability to work effectively within a team and in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Ability to think and work independently.
