BARUN DAY!💥"FASTEST FLIGHT."
After many days of preparing for and conducting the Hub, I flew out to Casablanca yesterday after the broadcast. North Africa, where our MSA retreat is taking place. Among the palm trees in a beautiful authentic location.
I have a busy schedule. Our outings with the guys are a breath of fresh air, socializing with our own. And it's in some amazingly unusual places.
There are no direct flights. There's a one-and-a-half-hour layover in Dubai. And... the flight was delayed.
I land at 7am local time in the Emirates, and the first thing I hear from the attendant is that it's 30 minutes to the Gate. And it just closed. The next flight is in 30 hours...
The departure program is to be with the guys for the first 3 days. Team meetings, networking, Practicum, awards, speeches, recreation, etc. go with me. And after the first 3 days they are working with an invited expert on team building in business. Day 1 is today. It turns out that I miss it and the whole next day. 2/3.
This is the first overseas MSA retreat since 2018 that, I missed. Pain.
It's times like this that my "Game on" trigger kicks in. Any situation needs to be turned into an opportunity. We created a good alternative to time with me. And for the guys, I have a big surprise in store for them. They'll see in October🤞
It's 6 a.m. in India. I decide to go back to India . The next flight is at 10:00.
Once upon a time, I embraced in my life, the idea that all around me is just scenery. Everything around me is scenery. It's my job to choose how I feel about what's going on. This is my free will. I use any obstacle as a trigger to make it better.
And, the fault, of course, is not the flight delay. It was my own fault for choosing a flight with a short layover.
It's a shame that I'm not among the palm trees with the guys who have become like family by now. Shame, after 3 days of CC, to fly in the middle of the night for 5 hours, land at 6am to hang out at the airport for 3 hours, eat at the poppy, and get back.
But, that's the scenery. My attitude is the foundation. I landed in India 3 hours ago and left the airport to train. Life goes on.
