Classic Cheesecake Recipe

Classic Cheese Cake

Try this recipe and enjoy a delicious homemade cheesecake!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 4 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture onto the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the flour and beat until well mixed. Add the sour cream and beat until the mixture is smooth.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until the cheesecake is set and the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow the cheesecake to cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  9. Once chilled, remove the cheesecake from the springform pan, slice and serve.
