Classic Cheesecake Recipe
Try this recipe and enjoy a delicious homemade cheesecake!
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 4 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture onto the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour and beat until well mixed. Add the sour cream and beat until the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes or until the cheesecake is set and the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cheesecake to cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
- Once chilled, remove the cheesecake from the springform pan, slice and serve.
