What is Tonkeeper?
To purchase BitOK (BTK) tokens you must have a crypto wallet in the TON (The Open Network).
One such wallet is Tonkeeper, which can be connected to DEX.
Tonkeeper is a non-custodial crypto wallet in the TON (The Open Network) Blockchain ecosystem. That can be accessed from your mobile device. It allows you to send Toncoin to other users of the wallet, receive Toncoin, or purchase it. In addition, Tonkeeper can be used to buy a variety of products, including NFTs, for your collection.
Non-custodial wallets are owned and controlled by you. You are responsible for keeping the secret key (or seed phrase) secure, as it is the only way to access and manage your assets. You will lose access to your wallet if you lose the seed phrase. Therefore, keeping the seed phrase away from third parties is crucial to avoid financial loss. Non-custodial wallets are necessary for interacting with decentralized exchanges (DEXs) and applications (dApps).
When you first log in (or if you have logged out of the wallet), the app will give you a short tour of Tonkeeper and TON Blockchain.
Next, the app will ask whether you want to create a new wallet or go to an existing one. Click the Create new wallet button.
Following that, you will be offered your 24-word seed phrase, which will serve as a form of login to the wallet. Is a login to a non-custodial wallet. Therefore, all you need to get into the wallet is a seed phrase. Other methods of authentication, such as a phone number or email address, are not used.
It is crucial to write it down in the precise order as it's shown. Also, record it in the exact order as provided since the seed phrase is the only way to access your wallet and assets, and it cannot be recovered in case of loss. Keep the seed phrase in a safe place, such as a regular paper notepad, and never reveal it to third parties!
Transferring your seed phrase to third parties is unacceptable since it jeopardizes the security of your assets (Toncoin, tokens, NFTs).
The app will then ask you to enter a few words from the seed phrase in a specific order (for example, enter the 5th, 14th, and 19th words) to ensure you perceive the seed phrase correctly.
Next, you will need to come up with a passcode to enter the app (similar to banking applications) and confirm transactions in the future. Following that, Tonkeeper will ask you to confirm the passcode.
After that, the app will ask you to connect biometric data for easier login and confirmation of transactions. Of course, you can skip this step and use only the pin code, but we highly recommend biometrics.
Your new wallet is ready to use!
Tonkeeper wallets are inactive by default. Tonkeeper can't tell if the sender of a transaction (you or someone else) is attempting to send coins to, for example, an NFT smart contract. In order to fully use your wallet address and avoid the "invalid address" error, you must activate it. To activate the wallet address, you need to make at least one outgoing transfer. Once activated, the network will recognize the address as a wallet.
