The first digital TIR transport between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic
On March 18th of the current year, the event took place dedicated to the first digital TIR transport between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of the Organization of Turkic States and the International Road Transport Union.
In the Final Declaration of the 8th Summit of the Organization, held last November in Istanbul, the heads of state instructed the relevant state bodies to continue creating favorable conditions for the transformation of the Trans-Caspian International East-West Corridor into a more efficient, sustainable and uninterrupted route in the region.
To this end, the heads of state called for the simplification of customs and transport procedures, including through the introduction of digital systems.
In this context, they highly appreciated the efforts within the framework of the ATC to launch pilot digital TIR projects between Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and to hold a seminar for Kyrgyz customs specialists in Tashkent from June 29 to July 1, 2021 in cooperation with the IRU.
The tasks of digitalization of transport and transit procedures are also reflected in the strategic document "Vision of the Turkic World - 2040", adopted by the Presidents of our countries during the Istanbul Summit.
