The Uzbek-Azerbaijani business forum was held

A business forum with the participation of Uzbek-Azerbaijani business circles was held on June 20 at the Hilton Tashkent City Hotel.

The forum, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov and Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikail Jabbarov, First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vahobov took part.

Speaking at the event, Sardor Umurzakov said that "Over the past five years, the volume of bilateral trade has increased 5 times, the number of enterprises with Azerbaijani capital has increased 4 times in six years, and enterprises with Uzbek capital in Azerbaijan show the same results."

During the forum, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between several Ministries of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

Namely, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Agency for Export and Investment Promotion of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Uzbek-Azerbaijani Export and Investment Promotion Agency, the Uzbek Agency for Information and Mass Communications and the Azerbaijani Mass Media Agency and others. Memorandums of Understanding and Cooperation were signed between the two countries.
