NEW STEP ON FOOD INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT

The Food Industry Association of Uzbekistan (FIAU) has joined the UN Global Cooperation Program and the UN Coalition of Business Champions for Sustainable Development in Uzbekistan!

In March 2022, the Food Industry Association of Uzbekistan was admitted to the UN Global Cooperation Program. The organization became the first official member of Uzbekistan to enroll in the UN program.

The UN Global Partnership Program is a project that assists and brings together leading organizations in the development and implementation of business practices around the world. This cooperation program will help organizations to bring corporate stability, the company's value system and the principles of doing business in line with international standards.

The Program works in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and the fight against corruption. The member organizations of the program share the same values and principles and are provided with the rules of the system of effective work in the field of humanism, human capital, environmental protection, anti-corruption.

The Global Partnership Program is a leading force that seeks to help companies better understand not only their people but also their core responsibilities to the planet by establishing and fostering a culture of honesty in governance within its ten principles. The ten principles of the program are based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labor Organization's Basic Principles and Labor Rights, the Rio Declaration on the Environment and Development, and the United Nations Convention against Corruption.
