Webster University in Tashkent held Career Fair 2022

On April 19, 2022, Webster University in Tashkent held its Career Fair 2022 where more than 80 companies and organizations were represented. The participating organizations offered part-time employment, paid and unpaid internships, and volunteering opportunities.

Webster’s first large-scale Career Fair was the perfect place for final-year students to find their first “serious” jobs or internships. The organizations were both national in origin and international, coming from spheres such as banking, finance, consulting, manufacturing, construction, automotive industry, hospitality, retail, education, and others.

Government ministries and agencies as well as non-governmental organizations were also present.
The fair was opened by Laziz Mingishev, Director of the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment. His speech was followed by words of welcome from the Acting Rector of Webster University in Tashkent, Dr. Slobodan Pesic, and the Executive Director of the Center for the Implementation of Educational Programs of Webster University in Tashkent, Dr. Rasul Rakhmonov.

The fair’s motto was “Unlock Your Future with Webster!” Webster University conducts similar career fairs at every campus, in all 10 countries where the university is present. For Webster, career fairs are important events that encouragement students to connect knowledge gained at lectures with practical experience. This encouragement to experiential learning is key for Webster as a higher education institution.
