Uzbek football legends beat world champions from Italy

The central stadium "Pakhtakor" became the place of the historical match of the great legends of the world football. As part of the evening organized by AFU and BMB Trade Group in honor of the 110th anniversary of Uzbek football, a friendly match was held between the famous players of Uzbekistan and Italy.

The official opening ceremony of the meeting was attended by Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdujabbar Abduvokhidov, Minister of Sports Development Adkham Ikramov, Khokim of the city of Tashkent Jahongir Artykhodzhaev, Secretary General of the NOC Oybek Kasimov, First Deputy Chairman of the NOC, First Vice President of AFU Ravshan Irmatov.

As for the game itself, usually such meetings end in a draw. However, the thirst for victory and the pleasure from every goal led the domestic players to victory. As a result, the representatives of the home team beat the Italian football legends with a score of 3:2, which included eminent world-class players. Representatives of the Uzbekistan national team Sanjar Tursunov, Nematillo Kuttiboev and Server Dzheparov each scored a goal against Christian Abbiatti, while the 2006 world champion Vincenzo Iaquinta scored a double.
