The second day of discussions in the framework of the preparation of the MFC project

Today, on July 8, the second day of the strategic session was held on the topic: "Creating an international financial center in Tashkent: a development model and key areas of activity."

The experts of Uzbekistan, together with international experts, discussed the following topics: "Specialization of the TIFC", "Tax regime", "Legal regime", "Assessment of the effects of the activities of the TIFC", "Official summing up of the strategic session".

Implementation of the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026. involves the active participation of the financial sector in the process of socio-economic development of the country: the financial sector is involved in all 7 directions of the Strategy; can contribute to the achievement of 39 out of 100 national goals.

Declared in the Strategy, privatization is large-scale and can be successfully implemented in conditions of a competitive level of development of the national financial sector.

Today, at the strategic session, international representatives spoke: Meyer Fruher - Vice Chairman of NASDAQ; Epaminondes Metaxas - non-executive director of the Rich Reach Corporation, chairman of the board of the Cyprus Stock Exchange from 1996 to 2017; Michael Wardle - CEO, Head of Indices at Z/Yen Group Limited; Professor Youssef Kassis is Professor Emeritus in Economic History, European University Institute.
