New law to ensure the efficacy of state control

“This year, more than 20 laws are expected to be adopted to strengthen the legal framework for reforms, including about 10 completely new laws in key areas such as strengthening the position of citizens' self-government bodies and local councils, ensuring effective state control, and rational use of energy resources.

Particularly, laws on the revision of the procedure for nominating candidates for governor, the clear definition of the powers of local councils and governors are the documents expected by the people" - said Tanzila Narbayeva, Speaker of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
