To create a song, enter the /music command and choose a generation mode:

In simple mode, just describe what the song will be about and in what genre. In advanced mode, you can choose an unusual genre and create a song with your own lyrics in any language.

Simple Generation Mode

In simple mode, write in the chat in free form what the song will be about and in what genre. You can also specify which vocal to use – male, female, or duet. The genre should be in English.

Describe the event the song is about.
Include details – AI handles idea development excellently.

To use your own text, write it in the chat. Separate each verse with a blank line for a pause or instrumental break.

How to Continue a Song?

Song generation takes 3-5 minutes. Suno will create 2 tracks, up to 8 minutes each.

To continue the selected version, press the ⏩ Continue button and add lyrics. You'll get 2 continuation options.

You can continue the track multiple times. When the song is complete, press the ❤️ Merge button to get the whole track.

Text Markup

When creating a song with your own lyrics, it's recommended to use markup, which will make transitions more organic and allow you to control the sound.

Tags help AI in song creation, but the greatest influence comes from the lyrics themselves and the style set before generation.
