Fishing For Walleye
If you want to go fishing for walleye, you are in good company. Walleye are a popular freshwater fish for table. Their line-shy nature makes them a rewarding catch. Walleye are native to Canada and the northern U.S., but stocking efforts have allowed this species to be made available to freshwater anglers south of Georgia.
Don't expect a dramatic surface fight once you hook a walleye. Expect a hard-fought, persistent fight. Although this species is finicky and can be difficult to catch, once you know how to fish for them, it's not difficult to catch.
