SPOOLING FISHING LINE

The process of spooling fishing lines is more complicated than you think. For best outcomes, bring your reels to a professional shop to fill them. For DIYers, the most important thing is to prevent the line from turning. To spin a saltwater spinning reel lay the spool down on the floor, then run your line over the guide of the rod, then tie the arbor knot connect your line onto the reel's spool. Before you tie the fishing line braided to the spool, wrap a small strip of tape electrically around the reel's arbor to stop the line from sliding. Place the line between your fingers on the between the two reels, then move the handle of the reel to place twelve wraps onto the spool.

To check if your fishing line is working properly, drop your saltwater fishing rod tip and add slack to the line. If the line begins to spin and twist into loops, it's spinning. Flip the feeder spool around and continue filling the reel. For filling a standard saltwater fishing reel pencils in the middle on the feeder spool, and ensure that the line is pulled out of on top. Always keep the line with tension and then fill it up to one eighth of an inch below that point. Make sure to reuse the monofilament you have discarded and get rid of the braided lines so that it isn't dragged in the water.
