Why do I only see the white page?

The question we get most often in “Why do I only see the white page when I follow the link I have created using Cloaking.House?” This happens when the users want to double-check their flows before using them in their ad campaigns.

In this post we will explain why you see only your white page and how to solve it.

Why can’t I access the offer page?

The first thing you should do is understand the reason why you are only redirected to the white page. For that, go to “Clicks” tab, find your IP and see the column “Filter” to see the reason.

After understanding the reason you have been redirected to the white page, you can follow along this post to try and solve it and access your offer page. Note that several filters might be the reason why you are being showed only the white page, so you might have to resolve one reason and come back to the “Clicks” section again to resolve another more than once.

The fastest fix

If you don’t care about all the technical stuff, and you just want to make sure your flow is working properly, we have the solution for you. If you want to easily access your offer page, make sure it displays correctly, etc., just use your IP in the IP White List in your flow’s settings.

By entering your IP here, you will bypass all the filters and access the offer page immediately.

Just by accessing your offer page from your whitelisted IP means your flows works correctly and there is nothing to worry about. You can use it in your ad campaigns now. 😄

The full explanation

Here we will give you all the information you need if you want to understand all the reasons why you might be redirected only to the white page.

Most of the times the reason you get only the white page is because of the filtering settings you have set up for your flow. There might be some other reasons as well, which we will also cover in this post.

Your filters do not let you access your offer page

When you creating your flow, you set specific parameters, and if the user (in this case it might be you) does not meet the parameters you have set, the system will not show them your offer page. This is the basic function of the cloaking and this makes your offer page safe.

Let’s look at some of the filters, that might be the reason why you cannot see your offer page.

  • Country: when creating your flow you are asked to specify which countries can and cannot access the offer page. If you are not from the country, that is allowed, you will not be able to see the offer page and the only workaround is to input your IP in the IP White List. Note that even if you use VPN or Proxy you will not be able to access your offer page!
  • Devices/Browsers/OS: just like with the Country filter, if your Device/Browser/OS does not meet the requirements you have set in your flow’s settings, you will not be able to access the offer page, and your only way around it is to whitelist your IP.
  • Number of clicks before filtering: This is a very useful tool if you want to make sure that no bots or moderators will access your offer page for a specific amount of time. When you enter a number in this field, for example “100” the system will redirect the first 100 clicks only to the white page. Most of the times it’s used to increase the chance of bypassing the moderation stage of your ad campaign. If you entered a specific number in this field and then tried your link, you will be redirected to the white page, because you have set your flow to do so. If you don’t need it, you can set the number to “0” and this filter will not work.
  • Number of clicks from the same IP per day: A useful feature if you don’t want the same person to access your offer page a lot. By entering a number in this field, you give the system the maximum number of clicks any user has per day before they are all redirected to the white page. If you don’t need this feature, just set the number to “0”.
  • Referrer: If that’s the reason you have been redirected to the white page, this is because you have disabled all the traffic without referrer to your offer page. What does this mean? Referrer is the website, from where the user accesses the link (in our case in the form of an ad). So for example if you run FB ads, and the user sees your ad on their Facebook page and goes from there to your website, the referrer in this case is Facebook. Since you are accessing your website directly from the link, you have no referrer and hence are redirected to the white page. Toggle this option off, if you want to access the offer page. We strongly advise you to turn it back on before running your ad, this is an essential part of making sure your offer page is safe.
  • VPN/Proxy: If you see this as the reason you have been redirected to the white page, this is because you have been trying to access your link using VPN or Proxy.

Other reasons you can’t see the offer page

There are also some less common reasons you might be redirected to the white page, which are:

  • Your flow is on pause and that’s why all the traffic is redirected to the white page
  • Your subscription has expired and all your flows went on pause automatically

These are all the reasons why you might have been shown the white page, use this guide to find the reason for your specific case and solve it. Good luck! ✌️
