Trama :Film drammatico diretto da Justin Kurzel e con protagonista il premio Oscar Russell Crowe. Adattamento cinematografico del romanzo del 2000 La ballata di Ned Kelly, il film racconta le vicende di Ned Kelly, fuorilegge di origini irlandesi. Orfano, ladro di cavalli, rapinatore di banche, assassino di poliziotti, rissoso Robin Hood molto amato dal popolo, acerrimo nemico dell’autorità , Ned Kelly è stato un misto di Jesse James, Billy the Kid e Clyde Barrow, ma anche il rappresentante dell’epopea avventurosa di un intero continente, l’Australia, colonia inglese in cui gli inglesi sono i padroni, quelli che hanno la terra migliore, quelli che espropriano gli agricoltori poveri. Una vita durissima, a difendersi contro le violenze e i soprusi, che porterà Ned Kelly a morire a soli 26 anni. Nel cast anche George Mackay, Nicholas Hoult, Essie Davis, Charlie Hunnam, Thomasin Mckenzie, Sean Keenan, Earl Cave, Marlon Williams, Louis Hewison, Orlando Schwerdt.
