The programme includes women's semifinal bouts in the women's 57kg (semi-lightweight) category, men's semifinal bouts in the men's 92kg (heavyweight) category, as well as victory ceremonies in the 63.5kg (lightweight) and 80kg (middleweight) categories. In Paris, 248 boxers will have the opportunity to compete at the Olympics: 124 women and the same number of men. Tickets for the boxing session BOX25 of the 2024 Olympics are already available for purchase.

Women's boxing only became an Olympic sport in 2012, while men's boxing was included in the Olympic programme as far back as 1904. There have always been more male athletes, but at the Paris Olympics they will be equal in numbers to the women.

The Paris 2024 Olympic boxing competition will take place from 27 July to 10 August at the Roland Garros and Arena Paris Nord stadiums.

The US and Cuba are the favourites for top honours. Athletes from the US have 50 gold medals and the Cubans have 41 medals.

At the moment there is a qualifying tournament, which will end on 31 May 2024.
