Tickets for Tennis TEN32 Olympics 2024
On 2 August 2024, the men's singles semi-final at the Roland Garros sports complex in Paris will take place as part of the Olympic Games. Also on this day, the gold medal in mixed doubles will be played.
Paris will host 5 traditional tennis events: men's singles and doubles, women's singles and doubles, and mixed doubles. Tickets for the TEN32 tennis session of the 2024 Olympics are on sale now.
The men's singles event will feature 64 athletes. Only those who have already qualified for the Games in singles or doubles will compete in the mixed doubles event. There will be 16 teams in total.
Recall that at the Tokyo Games, Germany's Alexander Zverev won the gold medal in singles, silver went to Karen Khachanov of the ROC, and bronze went to Spain's Pablo Carreño Busta. In mixed doubles Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Andrey Rublev of the ROC won gold, silver also went to the Russian pair of Elena Vesnina and Aslan Karatsev. Third place went to the Australian pair of Ashleigh Barty and John Pierce.
The names of the qualified athletes will be announced not earlier than 10 June, after the French Open. So it's still a mystery who tennis fans who have purchased tickets to the 2024 Olympic Games will be cheering for.
Another interesting feature will be playing on a dirt surface. The last time tennis players competed for Olympic medals on dirt was in 1992. Playing on this surface is more difficult than on special surfaces. Some great tennis players have never been able to win at Roland Garros precisely because of the ground, such as Boris Becker, Venus Williams and Pete Sampras. Therefore, the name of the winner will remain a mystery almost until the last moments of the meetings.
