The Four Seasons by RUDOLF JETTMAR
In these beautiful days of the season of blooming gradually and steadily taking over the awakening Nature, we would like to share some selected art by an Austrian painter and printmaker Rudolf Jettmar (1869-1939).
He studied at the Viennese Academy of Arts and also worked as a professor for graphics later. Since 1898, he was a member of the 'Wiener Secession'.
Rudolf Jettmar was influenced by the art of Max Klingers and just like him he represented the art of Symbolism at its best.
Looking for different symbols in Jettmar's art works and understanding or guessing on their meaning is a special intellectual and aesthetically sublime pleasure.
For this publication, we chose the series created in 1928 and dedicated to the Seasons and their changing.
Hopefully, you like it too.
