Lead Designer (Unreal Engine 5)
Location: Hybrid (Cambridge, UK). Must be based in or be willing to relocate to a comfortable commuting distance of the Cambridge office.

What you will do
- Drive the execution of the design vision across external development and outsourcing partners.
- Act as the primary design contact for co-development teams, providing clear direction and support.
- Translate high-level creative vision into actionable design guidance for high-quality gameplay and content.
- Review features, gameplay systems, and content, providing constructive feedback to maintain quality.
- Collaborate with Creative Leadership and Production to ensure consistency across all development areas.
- Identify risks and blockers early, working proactively with partners to resolve them.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading design efforts on shipped PC or console titles.
- Experience working with co-development studios, outsourcing partners, or distributed teams.
- Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine 5, including Blueprints, Data Assets, and Gameplay Framework.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence teams and drive alignment without direct line management responsibility.
- Must be based in or be willing to relocate to the UK (Cambridge area).
