Mobile Application Engineer (React Native)

What you will do

• Design and build end-to-end mobile workflows from UI to local state and sync logic.
• Work directly with customers in the field to understand and translate real-world processes into software.
• Integrate AI-powered features, including LLMs and model-backed APIs, into mobile workflows.
• Develop and maintain production-grade cross-platform apps for iOS and Android.
• Own the entire product cycle from customer calls and spec writing to deployment.

Requirements

• Strong experience with TypeScript and React Native.
• Proficiency in native mobile fundamentals (Swift/Kotlin) for modules like sensors and background tasks.
• Experience shipping and maintaining apps via App Store and Google Play.
• Ability to design for unreliable connectivity, including offline persistence and conflict resolution.
• Experience integrating AI systems (LLMs, agents) into production products.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to London.

Nice to have

• Founder or ex-founder experience.
• Background in early-stage or stealth startups (e.g., YC, EF, Antler).
• Experience as a forward-deployed or solutions engineer.
• Proficiency in Python for backend service development.
