Senior Platform Software Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid in Madrid, Spain. Relocation package available.

Salary: €65,000 – €80,000 gross per year

What you will do

  • Design, deploy, and manage end-to-end AWS infrastructure, from networking to multi-account cell architecture and EKS platforms.
  • Automate provisioning and upgrades using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/OpenTofu) and GitOps to ensure consistency.
  • Collaborate with product and feature teams to build self-service capabilities and maintain developer autonomy.
  • Ensure platform reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness, including FedRAMP and FIPS compliance.
  • Develop new architectural capabilities to support the next level of scale, resilience, and AI workloads.
  • Participate in the shared on-call rotation to maintain platform stability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Platform, DevOps, Software, or Site Reliability Engineer.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services including VPC, CloudFront, API Gateway, and EKS.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or OpenTofu) with a GitOps mindset.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Must be based in or be able to relocate to Madrid, Spain.
  • English: Proficiency required.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in compliance-driven environments (FedRAMP or FIPS).
  • Experience building internal developer platforms (IDP) with modern tooling.
  • Experience with cell-based or multi-region architectures at scale.
