External Development Manager (AAA Games)
RELOCATION TO FINLAND | Housemarque
Housemarque is a Finnish game studio established in 1995 and part of PlayStation Studios since 2021, known for AAA titles including Returnal and Saros.
What you will do
- Plan and execute co-development and external content production initiatives with Producers, Leads, and Development Managers.
- Manage relationships with external development partners, ensuring communication, alignment, and successful delivery.
- Forecast internal needs, manage external development budgets, and support long-term resource planning.
- Identify production risks and resolve issues with internal and external stakeholders before they affect delivery.
- Improve collaboration practices and contribute to the evolution of outsourcing and co-development across future projects.
- Support partner onboarding, IT integration, contractual processes, and information security coordination with Sony teams.
Requirements
- Experience in external development, outsourcing, co-development, production, or project management within AAA game development.
- Proven ability to manage external partners and build productive, long-term relationships.
- Strong understanding of game development pipelines, production methodologies, and project delivery.
- Experience managing budgets as well as headcount and resources.
- Ability to align stakeholders across disciplines, seniority levels, cultures, and time zones.
- Experience contributing to the shipment of at least one AA or AAA PC or console title as a developer, content creator, or QA team member.
