The Big Dog breakout strategy

Another intraday breakout strategy, suitable for currency pairs with USD, including XAUUSD.

The initial range is formed from 12.00 to 14.00 GMT (in winter in the USA from 13.00 to 15.00 GMT)

It is most convenient to build a box on M15 or H1, beginning at 12.00 GMT and ending at 14.00 GMT. Thus, if we build a box on H1, we are interested in the hour candles open at 12.00 and 13.00, the candle open at 14.00 GMT does not participate in the calculation of the parameters of the box.

Long entrance. We buy when the box is broken up, SL is placed slightly below the lower border of the box.

Short entrance. Sell ​​when the box is broken down, place SL slightly above the upper border of the box.

TP for this strategy is usually 70-100 pips for XAUUSD

Signals for this strategy are valid only during the current session. If the range height exceeds 60 pips, it is better not to enter this strategy on such a day
