God promised to give His Spirit to His people in the last days that they may do wonders. He made this promise a long time ago.

Days after Jesus had ascended into heaven after rising from the dead, God fulfilled this promise. The followers of Jesus were all together. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. The Holy Spirit came as tongues of fire to them who waited for it in the Upper room as commanded and from then on, they begun to do marvellous things.

Other Jews who witnessed it were amazed and could not understand what was going on.

"They must be drunk of wine", they said.

This gift is available to us too. To receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, one must repent of their sins turn to God and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins. Then you can receive the Holy Ghost.

Be baptized in Jesus' name

This gift is to all who believe.

Dear Lord, Thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit. We thank You for a new week. Please be with us and bless our families and friends. We love you Lord.
