Мы с вами знаем много мифов про разные страны, но правдивы они или нет узнается только тогда, когда мы оказываемся в той стране или общаемся с ее жителем😍

Сегодня наша команда поговорила с итальянцем, чтобы выяснить, какие мифы об Италии правда, а какие — неверные предрассудки. Let's go!✨

Myth: In Italy they eat only pasta and pizza
Truth: Pasta and Pizza are definitely the most famous Italian dishes. Foreigners usually don't really understand why there are so many types of pasta, since they're all made from the same ingredients, and why we eat so much of it. Well as you know, different types of pasta have different textures and some types fit better with some sauces than others. Eating "lasagne al pesto" is ofc completely different from "spaghetti alla carbonara" and therefore we treat them as different dishes.

Myth: In Italy, everything is run by the mafia.
Truth: Thanks to movies like "the Godfather", Italians have become (in)famous not only for their culinary traditions. Movies don't always depict reality but yeah, speaking for the Southern part of Italy, the stereotype kinda holds true. Unfortunately, even though the South is very rich with beautiful landscapes and warm people, the mafia historically has been very influential. The police and government definitely know where the problems are, but I wonder what stops them from solving them. So, eventually, you kinda get the point, which is not really true for the northern part of Italy, fortunately.

Myth: They don't like to work; aperitivo is one of the confirmations.
Truth: The landscape and the weather here are beautiful, my friend. Why are you in such a hurry? Let's relax by the sea and sip from our cocktails watching the sunset, you'll learn to enjoy life when you'll stop worrying.

Myth: Matriarchy
Truth: Family bonds are very important and parents want to help their children as long as they can, even if the children become adults. Italians like company, we are very social and idk, mothers want to take care of their children, like any mother, and the children don't want to disappoint their "mamma"s.
