6 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW TO START YOUR FIRST AD CAMPAIGN

Marketers all over the world are cheering for it – all of us can use Instagram ads! Did you play with them?

If not, I want to list the absolute basics you need to know to get started. I have to give it to Facebook-they have integrated Instagram ads very well into their advertising interface. If you are willing to set up regular Facebook ads, it will be a piece of cake.

(Want to get a real strategy before you start spending money? Watch this free advertising strategy training.) Learn How To Run Instagram Ads.

When preparing to run your first Instagram campaign, you need to know the 6 most important things:

1.      The First Step Is To Connect Your Facebook Page To Your Instagram Account.

Go to your Facebook page and click "Settings" in the upper right corner.

Then click on Instagram and then click on "Login". Follow the instructions there to connect your account.

2.      You Can Create Instagram Ads In Facebook's Ad Manager Interface.

You will create a campaign, at least one ad set (shown below), and at least one ad.

Note: At this time, it seems you can’t use any nice line breaks in your ad text to make it easy to read. Therefore, the text below the image will appear as a word block. The solution is, if you want to separate them, add some kind of character or emoji between the lines.

3.      Your Instagram Ads Should Always Be Placed In Your Own Ad Collection.

Your campaign will have the same 3 elements as a Facebook campaign: the campaign, the ad set within the campaign, and the ads in the ad set. (Kinda is like those Russian nesting dolls! Learn more about this structure here.)

In a normal Facebook ad campaign, you might run the same ads in desktop news sources and mobile news sources. As Facebook said, your ad format works well in both "placements."

However, if you try to place the same image on Instagram as an ad on Facebook, the image size will make it look weird. Check out one of my Facebook ads currently converted to Instagram ads:

It's not scary, but I absolutely love the square pictures on Instagram. Therefore, I redo the ad with another picture (which also passed the 20% rule):

4.      Use Facebook Pixel And Custom Conversion To Track Your Advertising Results.

If you want to direct people to pages on your website, you need to make sure that the Facebook Pixel is in place and you have set up standard events or custom conversions to track things like opt-in and purchases. If your website is based on the following, here are some posts with detailed instructions on implementing Pixel:

·  WordPress

·  Square space

·  Or potential customers

5.      You Will Check The Effect Of Instagram Ads In Facebook's Ads Manager.

In most cases, the results of Instagram ads and detailed information about important indicators can be easily read in the ads manager.

The two things I suggest you pay attention to are your CPM (cost per thousand impressions) and clickthrough rate (CTR) links. Some people find it cheaper to show ads on Instagram, but you want to see if the click-through rate of the links in your ads is good or bad compared to ads on Facebook

6.      Consider Instagram Stories Ads.

Even if you are a complete beginner in advertising, Instagram Story ads may be your best choice. They are very simple to combine, and people have seen incredible results. Check out the complete tutorial on how to set them up here:

Do you know which advertising strategy you can use to actually get more sales in your business?

Yes, advertising can help you expand your audience and increase sales, but only if you have a clear understanding of why you want to promote everything and where it is in the larger marketing scope.
