See the particle size. The smaller the activated carbon particles, the larger the contact air area and the better the adsorption performance. In general, activated carbon with particle size of about 0.5 mm can achieve the best, it is recommended to select activated carbon products with particle diameter between 0.42-0.85 mm.

See the ingredients. Activated carbon depends on the size of pore size to adsorb harmful gases, different molecular weight of different harmful gases, particle size is also different.
