How to Buy High Quality Activated Carbon

See the relative density. The more pores of activated carbon, the higher the adsorption performance, and the larger the volume in the case of equal weight packaging. It is recommended to buy activated carbon products with small density, light feel and equal weight and volume.

See the particle size. The smaller the activated carbon particles, the larger the contact air area and the better the adsorption performance. In general, activated carbon with particle size of about 0.5 mm can achieve the best, it is recommended to select activated carbon products with particle diameter between 0.42-0.85 mm.

See the ingredients. Activated carbon depends on the size of pore size to adsorb harmful gases, different molecular weight of different harmful gases, particle size is also different. Coconut shell activated carbon is the first choice for adsorption of odor and benzene, and gas phase spherical microporous activated carbon is the most ideal adsorption carbon for formaldehyde. It is suggested to choose a comprehensive adsorption product which is composed of nut shell activated carbon and gas phase spherical microporous activated carbon.

See the outer packing. The outer packaging of activated carbon must be sealed, otherwise long contact with air will fail.

See the bubbles. A small amount of activated carbon is put into the water,because of the water permeation, the water will gradually immerse in the pore structure of the activated carbon, forcing the air in the pore to be discharged, thus producing a series of extremely fine bubbles, pulling out a fine bubble line in the water, and at the same time making a silk bubble sound. The more intense the phenomenon occurs and the longer the duration, the better the adsorption of activated carbon.

See if it's carbonated. Carbonization is a carbon that only goes through the carbonization process without the activation process, not the real activated carbon, and the activation process is the most important process in the manufacturing process of activated carbon to make the pore structure, and the carbonization section without this process has little adsorption performance.

See iodine value. Iodine value is an active carbon performance difference, activated carbon raw material iodine value from 800,850,900,950,1000,1100 mg/g and so on, adsorption capacity is also different! the cost price is also different! The same iodine value of activated carbon only coconut shell effect is the best.
