Responsibilities:

Leads a team of data scientists developing analysis methods and tools, analytical models that deliver valuable insights to the business

Identifies opportunities for leveraging data science approaches and tools across various areas of the business by working closely with business leaders within the Boeing Design Center (BDC), BCA, BGS business units, BR&T and other relevant organizations

Builds a strong internal network of contacts across business units and functional areas of the company to develop an understanding of key current business needs that can be supported by data science approaches and tools

Leads a team of data scientists in collecting data, selecting appropriate analytical and modeling tools, interpreting results and delivering insights to the business

Identifies potential new sources of data that can be used to gain insights; leads the development of appropriate methodology for collecting, processing and analyzing such data; identifies the most appropriate analytical and modeling tools that should be applied in each case to help generate insights from data

Leverages knowledge of available software, analytical and modeling tools to effectively apply them to a variety of data and research objectives through a balanced application of available internal and external resources

With the team proposes new ways to analyze data, improve existing processes and methods with purpose to gain more efficiency, improve quality, identify valuable trends and dependencies

Basic Qualifications:

5 or more years of experience in data science
Experience leading teams of data scientists
Current knowledge of data analysis and modeling approaches and tools, including AI and Machine Learning
Understanding of data science application in aerospace
Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or other technical field
